You will work closely with project leadership and field operations to connect production performance with cost performance, giving the team a clear picture of where the job stands and where risks are emerging.</p><p>If you want daily involvement with operations, visibility with leadership, and the chance to influence outcomes on a large, complex infrastructure project, this role offers the scope, responsibility, and impact to take your career to the next level.</p><p><br></p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul><li>Lead job cost tracking and field cost control for the I-81 Viaduct Project Phase 2, Contract 6, ensuring project costs are captured accurately and reported in a timely, decision-ready format.</li><li>Partner with superintendents, project managers, and field teams to monitor production, track installed quantities, review labor and equipment costs, and identify cost risks early.</li><li>Prepare and maintain cost reports, forecasts, budget-to-actual analyses, and project performance reporting that give leadership clear visibility into financial status.</li><li>Track committed costs, support change management, and maintain reliable forecasting so project leaders can see the current position and projected financial outcomes.</li><li>Use HCSS HeavyJob and Vista to strengthen cost accuracy, reporting discipline, and alignment between field operations and accounting, while continuously improving project controls processes.</li></ul><h3>What Success Looks Like</h3><ul><li>Within 6 to 12 months, you have established reliable, consistent cost reporting that provides the project team with a clear, timely view of current performance and forecasted results.</li><li>Field production, installed quantities, labor and equipment costs, and accounting data are aligned, reducing discrepancies and rework in financial reporting.</li><li>Budget variances and cost trends are identified early enough for leadership to take corrective action, helping protect project margin and schedule.</li><li>You are recognized as a trusted partner to operations and project leadership by turning field and financial data into practical, actionable insight and reinforcing cost discipline across the project.</li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul><li>5+ years of experience in project controls, job cost management, project accounting, or construction cost tracking on large-scale projects.</li><li>Background supporting heavy civil, highway, bridge, infrastructure, or other large construction projects, with solid knowledge of budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, committed costs, and financial controls.</li><li>Ability to work confidently with field teams and senior leadership, communicate clearly, and raise concerns with professionalism and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Experience with HCSS HeavyJob and Vista, or the ability to quickly become proficient in similar construction costing and accounting systems; relevant credentials (CCP, PSP, EVP, PMP, CPA) or a degree in business, accounting, construction management, finance, or a related field are a plus.</li></ul><h3>Compensation and Benefits</h3><ul><li>Full-time salaried position with a compensation range of $130,000 to $165,000 USD per year.</li><li>Health insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), bonus opportunity, and company vehicle.</li><li>Full-time employment.</li><li>Field-based role in Syracuse, New York on the I-81 Viaduct Project Phase 2, Contract 6, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.</li></ul><h3>How to Apply</h3><p>Please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your experience in project cost control, forecasting, and construction financial reporting.</p><p><br></p>
